Dorothy I. Deming, age 87, of Faribault, died on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009 at St. Lucas Care Center, Faribault.
Funeral services were held in Faribault, on Jan. 27, 2009.
Dorothy, the daughter of Jay and Grace (Williams) Carman, was born on Oct. 30, 1921 in Bradford, N.Y. She graduated from Bradford High School in 1939 and married her high school sweetheart, Elmer Deming in 1943.
After moving to Faribault with her family in 1957, Dorothy was employed as secretary to the superintendent of the elementary schools. In 1967, Dorothy began working at the Buckham Memorial Library as assistant librarian for 17 years, retiring in 1984.
Dorothy was blessed with a long and happy life. She loved and enjoyed her family and friends and will be sadly missed.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Deming of Faribault; a son, Gary (and Betty) Deming of Rosemount; three grandchildren, Carie (and Terry) Bauer, Scott Deming and Adam (and fiancée, Gail Bobholz) Deming; and three great granddaughters, Kelsey Bauer (and fiancé, Andrew Grambart), Amanda Bauer and Courtnee Bauer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; and a brother, Clarence Carman.
