District will make test calls Feb. 2
ISD 196 will make a test call of its new SchoolConnects notification service the evening of Monday, Feb. 2. Every home with students in the district should receive a recorded-message call from Superintendent John Currie.
The SchoolConnects service is designed to deliver information to parents quickly in the event of a school schedule change or any other emergency situation where the district or school needs to contact parents immediately.
The Feb. 2 call will be sent to phone numbers in the district's student information system. After Feb. 2, if you confirm that no one in your household received the call, or if you received the call and do not want to receive future SchoolConnects calls, you can call the district during business hours at 651-423-7724.
You can review and update your phone numbers and e-mail addresses in the student information system if you have a SchoolView (parent portal) account. For information on how to do this, as well as more information on the SchoolConnects service, go to the front page of the district web site at www.district196.org. If you do not have a SchoolView account, you can call the school office to review and update the phone numbers listed for your child.
