Dakota County: Mapping Ordinance
Public Hearing Notice
Dakota County Board of Commissioners
Public Hearing on the Adoption of an Official Mapping Ordinance
The Dakota County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to receive comments on a proposed official mapping ordinance. The purpose of official mapping is to identify land needed for public purposes before current landowners improve their property and increase the cost of acquisition to tax payers. Official mapping notifies landowners of the public interest in all or a portion of their property and provides an opportunity for landowners to adjust their building plans to accommodate their needs and the needs of the public.
The public hearing will be held December 16, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in the County Board Room, Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 West Highway 55, Hastings, Minnesota.
Interested agencies, groups or persons attending the public hearing have the right to provide written or oral comments. Questions should be directed to Kurt Chatfield (952-891-7022) at the Dakota County Office of Planning and Analysis. Prior to the public hearing, written comments may be addressed to:
