Crews working on Highway 3 in downtown

Getting through downtown Rosemount will be a bit of a hassle for the next several weeks. Assistant engineer Phil Olson said crews will be repairing storm sewers along Highway 3 between 142nd Street and County Road 42.

Specifically, Olson said the catch basins along Highway 3 will be replaced. Over the years the catch basins have deteriorated, making the repairs necessary Olson said.

Olson said the repairs will take about two weeks to complete. Traffic will remain open in both directions, however; there will be temporary lane shifts.

The repairs will be completed in two phases. Olson said crews will start on the east side of Highway 3 and then move to the west side.

Access to all properties along Highway 3 will remain open throughout the project.
