A member of Troop 292, Conlin is one of approximately 4 percent of all Boy Scouts who attain the Eagle Scout Rank.

Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and successfully complete a service project to earn his Eagle. Conlin chose to fix a narrow walking path at the Church of the Risen Savior. The church uses the path, that runs well over 200 feet, to get to a fire pit that is used for many church functions. Conlin not only made the path wider, but added steps and lights for safety.

He has served as the troop's librarian, troop guide, and patrol leader. He has received several awards and attended the 2005 National Scout Jamboree.

Conlin is a member of the Church of the Risen Savior in Burnsville. He is active in Tech Club and Robotics at Rosemount High School he also served as the technician for the school's award winning marching band.

Conlin is a senior at Rosemount High School and is the son of Denise Conlin of Apple Valley and Peter Conlin of Rosemount.
