Christmas at the Steeple Center draws two full houses
The Rosemount Area Arts Council's first Christmas at the Steeple Center sold out two performances Saturday. Matinee and evening crowds saw performances by the newly formed Rosemount Community Band and bluegrass band Singleton Street, among others.
Also on the bill were a reading of The Night Before Christmas by mayor Bill Droste and a reading of the Christmas story by St. Joseph Church pastor Paul Jarvis.
In between shows Droste presided over a lighting of an official community Christmas tree in front of the Steeple Center. The tree is small now, but Droste said the idea is that it will remain the community tree as it grows over the years.
