The Lakers led 29-17 after three events. Rosemount closed to within 49-45 thanks to back-to-back first-place efforts from Frank Haney in the 50 freestyle and Dan Monaghan in the 1-meter dive, but Prior Lake pushed its lead back to 14 points with a 1-2-3 finish in the 100 freestyle.

Noah Peterson won the next event, the 500 freestyle, for Rosemount, but Prior Lake closed out the meet by winning the 200 freestyle relay, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and 400 freestyle relay, which was run under exhibition scoring after the home team had taken a 20-point lead.

The Irish finished second in different events, starting with the 200 medley relay where Haney, Sam Kendall, Ian Gardiner and Ben Peterson took runner-up honors. The 200 and 400 freestyle relays also finished in second place.

Kendall added a pair of individual second-place finishes in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.

Haney finished second in the 100 backstroke, Gardiner claimed runner-up honors in the 100 butterfly and Noah Peterson was second in the 200 freestyle.

The Irish close out the dual season tomorrow night against Lakeville South at Kenwood Trail Middle School.
