While the early spring weather hasn't been conducive to a strong start, somehow the Rosemount boys golf team has managed around any potential schedule changes.

With four tournaments on the schedule for the past two weeks, the Irish were able to play each tournament. While other teams are dealing with postponements and cancellations, Rosemount has had the luxury of actual course time.

The Irish placed second out of three teams while playing at Creek's Bend Golf Course in the opener last week, shooting a combined 328 team score. They shot a 346 a day later at River Oaks Golf Course, placing 24th out of 26 teams.

Late last week, battling cold and wind, Rosemount shot a 338 to place 21st out of 30 teams at Bunker Hills Golf Course.

On Monday, the Irish finished ninth out of 10 teams with a combined 336 at the Minnesota Valley Country Club in the first South Suburban Conference tournament of the season.

As consistent as the schedule has proven to be, Rosemount is likely hoping to be more consistent with its scoring.

Sam Reber has been the Irish's top finisher. Reber shot an opening 72 at Creek's Bend. He added a 76 in the second tournament, followed by an 80. Reber carded a 78 on Monday.

The first conference tournament likely didn't end up how new coach Kyle Frederickson would have hoped.

Rosemount's Charlie Frahm finished with an 81 and Josh Doyle had an 82. Nick Gould had to withdraw with an injury. Joe Heinsen carded a 95 and Travis Parker shot a 103.

The Irish played 27 holes at Bunker Hills Golf Course last week. The players take their two best nine-hole scores to make an 18-hole final score.

Reber's 80 led Rosemount. Frahm shot an 82 and Doyle had an 86.

Parker scored a 90. Heinsen added a 95 followed by Ryan Sword with a 99.

Frahm added an 81 to tie his season best in the season opener last week at Creek's Bend.

Rosemount is scheduled to travel this weekend to take part in the Tri-State Invitational at the Edinburgh USA Golf Course, with Wayzata hosting the tournament.
