Boys basketball: Irish forced to play catch-up last week

A slow start against top-ranked (Class 4A) Eastview set the tone for another frustrating couple of games for the Rosemount boys basketball team last week.

The Irish scored just 11 points in the first half of last Tuesday's game against the Lightning in Apple Valley and eventually fell 65-45 after playing to a 34-34 draw in the final 18 minutes. The team dug another big hole for itself Friday night, falling behind 48-30 by the break in a 76-49 loss to a .500 Eagan team.
