Dakota County will receive single prime sealed bids for the renovation of approximately 22,000 square feet of an existing office building located at 4100 220th Street, Farmington, MN until 11:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at the office of the Treasurer/Auditor, Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, Minnesota, 55033 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Pre-bid conference and tour will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 7, 2009, at the site. Representatives of the Owner and Architect will be present.
Bidding documents including the bid form, drawings and specifications can be obtained from CNH Architects and will be available on or after Tuesday, June 22, 2007, for review at the office of CNH Architects, 7300 W. 174th Street, Suite 504, Apple Valley, MN, Architect Contact is John Natwick, 952-997-4581.
This project includes renovation to the existing Extension building located at 4100 220th Street, Farmington, MN including demolition, drywall, millwork, finishes, approximately 1500 yards of carpet replacement, and miscellaneous electrical and mechanical work. Project work will be done in three phases. The Extension building will remain open for business during the renovations. Estimated project cost is $120,000.
Bids must be submitted only on the bid form supplied in the Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Dakota County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
Bids may not be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the opening bids. The Dakota County Board of Commissioners will consider award of the project on August 4, 2009, and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding.
