Bathtubs and balloons dominate Tuesday night at Leprechaun Days
The bathtub races were the big event Tuesday night at Leprechaun Days. One Rosemount filled 12,000 water balloons for this years event and sold all of them to raise money for its Feeding Families project to provide food for Haitian refugees.
KARE 11 personality Eric Perkins was on hand to do a live broadcast and take his turn in the tub this year, and a team of Minnesota Gopher Footbal players, led by RHS graduate Joe Bjorklund, competed.
A team from Celts won the business division at this year's competition. Rosemount United Methodist Church won the adult division.
Tuesday's activities also included a carnival complete with a dunk tank, a Zumba demonstration from Olympus 24 and a martial arts performance by Rosemount ATA.
