The Lakers produced eight runs on nine hits in winning Game 1, but managed just two runs on four hits over six innings against Smith in Game 2. Jordan Turner's walk-off single in the seventh gave the Irish a 3-2 victory.

Luke Dahl pitched a scoreless top half of the seventh to get the win.

Prior Lake took the lead with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth, but the Irish answered with two of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Nick Seipel plated the first run with an RBI single and Brian Rogers followed with a sacrifice fly to tie the game.

It was still 2-2 when Bryan Herman drew a walk to start the seventh. He moved to third on singles by Rogers and Chris Bauer and scored on Turner's hit.

Anthony Winters added a pair of doubles in the victory.

In Game 1, Seipel started and lasted just 1 2/3 innings having allowed six earned runs on seven hits. Alex Hassebroek came on in relief and gave up two unearned runs over the next 3 1/3 innings as the Irish committed four errors.

Turner had two hits and two RBI out of the leadoff spot to pace the Irish offensively. Carl Waite also had two hits and an RBI.

The Irish allowed another big inning early in Monday's 10-3 loss to Eastview. The Lightning chased starter Jake Schulze with five runs in the second inning.

Matt Thaden came on in relief and allowed four earned runs while walking four over 3 1/3 innings.

The Irish avoided the 10-run rule with three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Turner got the rally started with a double and Thaden followed with a two-run double of his own. Danny Farris added an RBI single.

Winters once again had a pair of hits.

The Irish (3-4) played a doubleheader on the road at Eagan Tuesday and were on the road again Wednesday at Bloomington Kennedy. They play again Saturday at home in a doubleheader against Bloomington Jefferson.
