Quilt show

RAAC has partnered with Quilter’s Haven to hold the group’s second annual quilt show May 5-10. Currently they are taking quilt submissions. Loch said he anticipates the show will fill quickly so he encouraged people to submit early.

Last year, the event drew a large crowd, filling the Steeple Center. Loch said they are excited to show off the craftsmanship of local quilters.

Email Loch for more information about participating in the show at jloch@charter.net or call 952-255-8545.

Calling all woodworkers

For many years, RAAC member John Loch has wanted to bring a woodworking show to Rosemount. Until recently, though, it wasn’t feasible.

With RAAC now able to use the Rosemount Steeple Center more freely, though, Loch said it is possible exhibit different art forms including woodworking. RAAC is calling all woodworkers, from carvers to turners, to exhibit their work through a show May 15 to May 18 at the Steeple Center.

Loch said the show will offer woodworkers the chance to display their work, provide demonstrations and sell their pieces.

To get pieces, Loch has contacted a number of woodworking groups. Loch said so far he’s been impressed with the quality of woodwork that’s been submitted.

To participate in the Woodcrafters Show submit photos to John Loch at jloch@charter.net or call 952-255-8545.
