Renovations
Apple Valley and Hastings, Minnesota
Dakota County will receive single prime sealed bids for the final bid package for renovations at two county facilities, the Western Service Center and the Juvenile Service Center. Renovation areas combined equal approximately 1,700 square feet. Bids will be taken until 1:00 p.m. local time on Thursday November 28, 2017 at the office of Facilities Management, suite 2500, Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, Minnesota, 55033 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Pre-bid conference and tour will be held in two parts on Monday, November 13, 2017:
•10:00 a.m. at the Western Service Center
in Apple Valley, MNJ
•11:00 a.m. at the Juvenile Service Center
in Hastings, MN.
Representatives of the Owner and Architect will be present.
Bidding documents including the bid form, drawings and specifications can be obtained from QuestCDN.com Ebid #5425831 and will be available on or after November 9th, 2017 for review at the office of Wold Architects and Engineers, 305 St. Peter St., St. Paul, MN 55102,. This project includes solid surface countertops, plastic laminate casework, doors/frames, flooring finishes, ceilings, wall finishes, mechanical systems and electrical systems relating to the construction of new service counters at the Western Service Center and a new secure entry at the Juvenile Service Center.
Prevailing wages are required on this project.

Bids must be submitted only on the bid form supplied in the Bid Document - Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid a certified check or acceptable bidder’s bond payable to Dakota County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
Bids may not be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the opening bids. It is anticipated that the Dakota County Board of Commissioners will consider award of the project on December 12, 2017 and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding.
