Cooling Towers Replacement
Hastings, Minnesota
Dakota County will receive single prime sealed bids for the bid package for Cooling Towers Replacement until 11:00 a.m. local time on Monday October 7th at the office of Facilities Management, Dakota County Administration Center, 1590 Highway 55, Hastings, Minnesota, 55033 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
A Pre-bid meeting and tour will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday September 27th, 2013 at the site. Representatives of the Owner and Architect will be present.
Electronic Bidding documents including addenda can be obtained, at no cost, by contacting the offices of Engineering Design Initiative, Ltd. (612-343-5965). Each bidder may obtain up to one complete set of documents. Printing of these documents is solely the responsibility of bidder.
As an option, one set of paper hard copy of the bidding documents may be obtained at the office of the Engineer upon depositing a non-refundable sum of $75.00 plus associated delivery charges. Each bidder may obtain up to one complete set. Partial sets will not be issued. Each check shall be payable to Engineering Design Initiative, Ltd. The address of the Engineer is:

Prevailing wages are required on this project.

Bids must be submitted only on the bid form supplied in the contract document. No oral, telegraphic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid a certified check or acceptable bidder’s bond payable to Dakota County in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond equal to 100% of the total contract amount.
Bids may not be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after the opening bids. The Dakota County Board of Commissioners will consider award of the project on November 5th, 2013 and reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. Estimated cost for this package is $455,000.
