The Dakota County Board of Commissioners met on July 30, 2013 and took action with respect to the following matters:
Approvals/Authorizations: County Board Meeting Minutes – July 9, 2013. Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) with City of Lakeville for clean-up of former shooting range. Inver Glen Library renovation design development plan. Cost-sharing agreement with municipalities for voting equipment. Revisions to Policy No. 8751, Abatements. Contract with HIRED for employment services. Funding request and budget amendment to accept Workforce Investment Act and State dislocated worker allotment and allocation. Contract with Scott-Carver-Dakota CAP Agency, Inc. for family homelessness prevention and assistance program. JPA with Ramsey County for overnight mental health crisis calls. JPAs with school districts for early intervention services and community transition interagency committee. MNsure Partner Grant Program application. Letter of intent for SHIP grant. Submit application for water and wetland permits. Support for Harriet Island to South St. Paul Regional Trail master plan. Amend contract with Kinney Consulting for landscape architectural design services. Host site agreement with MN Pollution Control Agency for MN Green Corps member. Agreement with University of MN (U of M) and MN Department of Natural Resources for park road and trail easement. Contract with MN Department of Veterans Affairs to provide quarantine beds in event of pandemic flu or disease outbreak. Cost-share memorandum of understanding with Metro Counties for HIPAA Initiative. Labor Agreement with MN Public Association Jail Supervisors unit. Acquire shoreland conservation easements on Boucher and Lindell Trust properties. JPA with MN Department of Agriculture and U of M for nitrogen fertilizer research and outreach. Award contract to Wold Architects and Engineers for architectural design services. Amend contract with Stonebrooke Engineering for County Projects (CP) 50-17 and 60-21. Submit comments on Minnesota Department of Transportation’s strategic plan. Acquisition of shoreland and greenway easement from RIOU Property 2, LLC. Contract with School District 196 for school resource officer services. Tax abatement of Frederick and Kristen Johnson. Assemblage of Large Numbers of People License for Souther Cruzers, Inc. Hiawatha Valley Ducks Unlimited exempt permit to hold raffle. 1-4 day temporary on-sale liquor licenses for Dakota County Agricultural Society, Inc. and Dakota City Heritage Village, Inc. Plats: Stone Ridge 1st Addition, Autumn Meadows Second Addition; and Stonehaven 6th Addition. Imposition of civil penalty for second violation of Ordinance 101 by Woody’s Pump N Munch, Inc. Closed Executive Session to develop offers for acquiring three private properties and mid-year performance evaluation of County Administrator.
