Donate a toy Saturday, save money on a tattoo

Tattoo artist Travis Bracht and All Out Ink owner Sherman Perrault are hoping Toys for Tattoos will raise money and toy donations for Toys for Tots. The event will be held Dec. 10

Travis Bracht believes positive things lead to more positive things. That's why the tattoo artist wanted to see the shop where he works do some good in the community.

He knew others tattoo shops had done fundraisers for Toys for Tots, so he suggested the ideas to All Out Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing owner Sherman Perrault.

"I know people are hurting these days. This is a way we can help," said Bracht.

On Dec. 10 the shop will donate all the money it makes to Toys for Tots.

To sweeten the deal, customers who bring in a toy to donate with a receipt, will get that amount off of their tattoo.

The shop will only take walk-ins the day of the event. Hours for that day are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

For people wanting bigger tattoos, the shop will take appointments for up to a week later if people put a deposit down.

All Out Ink is an official drop-off site for Toys for Tots. So far Perrault said they have collected more than half a box of toys. Perrault said he hopes they collect a lot on Dec. 10.

Perrault said he's glad his tattoo shop can help people in need and he hopes to turn the fundraiser into an annual event.

Toys for Tots is run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. The mission of the organization is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute them to needy children.

All Out Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing is located at 15084 Claret Ave. The shop opened in April and is fully licensed.
